...for you will not find it here
What Hast Thou Seen?

What hast thou seen?

What canst thou say is real?

How many lights in Heaven’s canopy have burned out their fires?

And who knoweth the secrets of the ancients?

Not I.

For who, in all of Time’s embrace, has truly lived?

And, more, how many have died?

Who can see within the stones, and truly see?

And who knoweth the secrets in Men’s hearts?

Not I.

But, knowing all and knowing nothing, did the philosophers hold the truth?

Has all wisdom been discovered?

How many lies does it take to damn a soul?

And who knoweth the secrets of Life?

Not I.

What hast thou seen?

What canst thou say is real?
